On 5 December 2024, the Bautzner Straße Dresden Memorial will commemorate the day of the occupation of the Dresden State Security Headquarters by Dresden citizens in 1989. To mark the occasion, the memorial and the Sächsische Landesbeauftragte zur Aufarbeitung der SED-Diktatur are inviting people to an evening of encounters at the memorial. The event is primarily aimed at those persecuted and imprisoned under the communist dictatorship from 1945 to 1989 in what is now the Free State of Saxony

This year's Evening of Encounter will once again offer the opportunity to talk to each other over a snack.
